2009 "Piccolo Rosso" Rosé - California

The name "Piccolo Rosso" means, "Little Red". This wine was made by our son Jimmy Zanoli, who loves drinking exceptional Rosés. He believed we needed a summer wine around here to help quench the palates of our customers, and us, during the summer heat. Since we did not want to add anymore varietals to our list, he decided a blend of our Sangiovese and Barbera would be unique (Nobody makes one around here) and fit our clientele. His passion really comes through in spades!

Our first release of this Sangiovese/Barbera blend, this brightly, salmon colored, rosé possesses aromas of rose petals, tangelos, and grapefruit. The finish is crisp and clean - Simply marvelous acids.

Enjoy this summertime Rosé on its own or paired with your favorite foods.
